Kentucky State Police officers arrested Sharda D. Whitlock, 22 of Cadiz on June 26 after she allegedly chased and rammed another vehicle.

According to a KSP press release, Bertram Boyd, 55, also of Cadiz drove his ATV past Whitlock’s residence on Tuggle Road. Whitlock allegedly got into her vehicle and pursued Boyd, striking his four-wheeler intentionally and driving him from the roadway.

Boyd was allegedly thrown from his vehicle and came to rest in the ditch where Whitlock allegedly took his wallet, before leaving the scene.

Trooper Jon Paull stopped Whitlock on Tuggle road and charged her with one headlight on a vehicle, expired registration, no registration receipt, possession of open alcohol container, leaving the scene of an accident, robbery- first degree and assault in the second degree.

Paull’s report said that Boyd reported an ankle injury but refused transport or treatment by medical personnel.

Whitlock was lodged in the Christian County Jail.

State Police Public Affairs Officer Trooper Dean Patterson could not be reached for comment. KSP Communications Supervisor Shari Clapp, who originated the press release, said she had no information on the motive or prior relationship, if any, between the suspect and victim. “Whatever is in the press release is what they want people to know,” she said.
