Rev. Jerry Gray officiated at the services. Burial followed in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Ms. Mimms died on Tuesday, February 27, 2007, at 2:10 a.m., at the Hilltop Nursing Home in Kuttawa following a short illness.
Ms. Mimms was born on September 1, 1917, in Caldwell County. She was the daughter of the late Eliza and Mary Florence Tinsley Mimms.
Ms. Mimms was a homemaker.
Survivors include her close nephew, Jerry Gray of Princeton; a longtime companion, Chester Cox of Princeton; a brother, Roy Lee Mimms of Princeton; two sisters, Mary Vaughn of Princeton and Dorothy Farmer of Indianapolis, Ind.; eight other nephews, James Vaughn, Sandy Smith, and Johnny Farmer, all of Indianapolis, Ralph Mimms of Atlanta, Ga., Jesse Gray, William Thomas Mimms, and Royce Mimms, all of Princeton, and Samson Mimms of Gallatin, Tenn.; and four nieces, Darla Kay Mimms of Indianapolis, Nancy Smith of Atlanta, Ga., Mary Mimms of Princeton, and Bonnie Mimms of Murray.
