Kentucky State Police received a call that Robert Carter, 48, was at 1367 Cadiz Rd. At the scene, Kayla Walsh, 21, of Hickory, Ky., was driving a vehicle in which marijuana was “in plain view.”
According to police, a subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a loaded handgun, drug paraphernalia, 5.5 ounces of methamphetamine and 8.8 ounces of marijuana.
Both were charged with trafficking a controlled substance, trafficking more than 8 ounces of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Carter was also charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon and possessing a handgun despite being a convicted felon. Carter was lodged in the Trigg County Jail, Walsh was lodged in the Christian County Jail.
