Rodney Cheatham officiated at the services. Burial followed in the Joiner’s Chapel Cemetery in Trigg County.
Mrs. Stephens died on Wednesday, April 12, 2006, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville of natural causes.
Mrs. Stephens was born on May 21, 1915, in Weaver Town, Tenn. She was the daughter of the late Benton and Katie Knight Joiner.
Mrs. Stephens was retired from the Hosiery Mill; was a Licensed Practical Nurse with Home Health Care; and was a member of Joiner’s Chapel Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Coleman Luke, and her second husband, Travis Stephens; three brothers, Charlie Joiner, Lewis Joiner, and Milton Joiner; and four sisters, Althea Hale, Birdie Nelson, Vina Boren, and Magelene Wyatt.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers were Jeff Choate, Neal Travis, Tim Reed, Danny Pence, Mark Harris, and David Luke.
Mark Harris, vocalist, and Joiner’s Chapel Church of Christ Choir provided the music.
