The Pennyrile Allied Community Services’ RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program) celebrated 30 years of serving Christian, Hopkins, Muhlenberg and Trigg counties last week.

Program coordinators held a special reception at the James E. Bruce Convention Center on April 22. RSVP Volunteer Carolyn Self was the Mistress of Ceremonies, and attendees were welcomed by Hopkinsville Mayor and PACS board member Dan Kemp and Christian County Judge-Executive, PACS board member and RSVP volunteer Steve Tribble. PACS Executive Director John Tedder gave a few special comments and introduced State Senator Joey Pendleton.

After an invocation by Christian County Magistrate and RSVP Advisory Council Rudolph Pettus and lunch, Jose Quinonez gave a tribute to volunteers. Quinonez is executive director of the A.W. Watts Senior Center in Hopkinsville.
