A Paducah man hit a log after a swerving to avoid another vehicle that had stopped in front of him to turn left on Princeton Road, also known as KY 139, at about 3:30 p.m. on Monday, May 18, but was not injured, according to a report from the Trigg County Sheriff’s Department.

Constantin Cristache, 34, was driving northbound on KY 139 about four miles north of Cadiz, at slightly less than the speed limit, when he saw that another vehicle was stopped in front of him to turn left onto Muddy Fork Lane, the report stated.

Upon realizing that the other vehicle was stopped, Cristache swerved to the right and ran off of the road, continuing along the side of the road until his vehicle collided with a large cut log, causing severe damage to the vehicle, although he wasn’t injured in the accident, the report indicated.
