Funeral services for Paula Rushing, 80, formerly of Fredonia and Maniste, Mich., were conducted on Thursday, December 28, 2006, at 1 p.m., at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton.

Rev. Dean Ray officiated at the services. Burial followed in Rowland Cemetery in Caldwell County.

Mrs. Rushing died on Monday, December 25, 2006, at 11:32 p.m., at the Rivers Bend Retirement Community in Kuttawa following a long illness.

Mrs. Rushing was born on February 1, 1926, in Fredonia. She was the daughter of the late Robert Clyde and Loma Clift Brown.

Mrs. Rushing was a housewife, and a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Golda Rushing in 2000; a son, Victor J. Rushing; and two sisters, Betty Jean Boisture and Alyene Rucker.

Survivors include three nephews, Fred Rucker, Tim Boisture, and Stan Boisture; and a niece, Suzanne Polkinghorn.
