Dr. Darryl Armstrong officiated at the services. Burial followed in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Armstrong died on Friday, May 5, 2006, at her home.
Mrs. Armstrong was born on October 2, 1924, in Caldwell County. She was the daughter of the late T.D. and Eba Wadley Gunther.
Mrs. Armstrong was retired from the Princeton Hosiery Mills after 45 years of service; and was a member of Liberty Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie P. Armstrong; two brothers, Ralph Gunther and Ross Gunther; and two sisters, Lena Bailey and Basel Gill.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Darryl and Kay Armstrong of Eddyville; and several nieces and nephews.
