Funeral services for Pauline Joyce, 88, of Cadiz, were conducted on Thursday, October 2, 2008, at 1 p.m., at Goodwin Funeral Home.

Revs. Paul Cannon and Monty Flanigan officiated at the services. Burial followed in Lawrence Cemetery in Trigg County.

Mrs. Joyce died on Monday, September 29, 2008, at 12:01 p.m., at Shady Lawn Nursing Center in Cadiz, following a long illness.

Mrs. Joyce was born on June 16, 1920, in Golden Pond, Ky. She was the daughter of the late Crusty Taylor and Pearl Crowder Hendon.

Mrs. Joyce was retired from Elk Brand Manufacturing and was a member of Liberty Point Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tollie Wesley Joyce; and a sister, Lois Vinson.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Lana Joyce of Hopkinsville; a daughter, Shirley Joyce Page of Nashville, Tenn.; a brother, James Carlon Hendon of Cadiz; six grandchildren, Spencer Page, Greg Page, Michael Page, Mike Joyce, Joy Joyce, and Jeff Joyce; and six great-grandchildren, Cody Page, Caroline Page, Wes Joyce, Chance Joyce, Carson Joyce, and Clayton Joyce.

Beth Bland Taylor, pianist, and Mallory Caroline Taylor, Carolyn Ford Bland, and Robin Ford-Stagner, vocalists, provided the music.

Serving as pallbearers were Spencer Page, Michael Page, Mike Joyce, Jeff Joyce, Wes Joyce, and Carson Joyce.
