Funeral services for Pauline Towler Oakley, 86, of Cadiz, were held on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, at King’s Funeral Home in Cadiz. The Revs. Paul Cannon and Damian Phillips officiated. Burial followed in the Hurricane Cemetery in Trigg County. King’s Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Pauline Oakley died of natural causes at 6:07 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012, at Trigg County Hospital.

She was born in Trigg County to the late Grover Cleveland Towler and Mattie Katherine Bagby Towler.

Pauline was a member of the Canton Baptist Church and was retired from civil service.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Conroy Oakley; two brothers, J. M. Towler and G. C. Towler; one sister, Mildred Cumbee; and two grandchildren, Kerry Bruce Oakley and Dale Conroy Garner.

She is survived by two sons, Grover Oakley (and wife Betty) of Cadiz and Bruce Oakley (and wife Brenda) of Murray; two daughters, Paula Hall (and husband John) of Cadiz and Marsha Garner (and husband Roger) of Cadiz; four grandchildren, Angela Killebrew of Cadiz, John Andrew Hall of Cadiz, Barry Oakley of Gilbertsville and Clarissa King of Cadiz; 13 great-grandchildren, Corey and Courtney Harrison and Jessica Killebrew, of Cadiz, Evan, Reese, and Marin Kelly Oakley of Gilbertsville, Jonathan and Macey King of Cadiz, Jacob and Jade Oakley of Murray, and Andrea, Heather and John A. Hall, II, of Cadiz; and a number nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers were John Andrew Hall, Barry Oakley, Corey Harrison, Jonathan King, Todd King and Lonnie Killebrew.

Music was provided by Betty Oakley, pianist and Courtney Harrison, instrumentalist.
