Funeral services for Pinkie Mae Acree, 71, of Hopkinsville, were conducted on Friday, June 20, 2008, at 11 a.m., at First Street Baptist Church in Hopkinsville.

Rev. C.E. Timberlake officiated at the services. Burial followed in the Cave Springs Cemetery.

Ms. Acree died on Thursday, June 12, 2008, at 11:55 p.m., at the Christian Health Center in Hopkinsville of natural causes.

Ms. Acree was born on November 12, 1936, in Trigg County. She was the daughter of the late Ben and Viola Pollard Acree.

Ms. Acree was a Beautician for 51 years, and was the owner and operator of Acree’s Beauty Salon; and was a member of First Street Baptist Church in Hopkinsville and was a Usher, and a 1st District Usher.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include a sister, Zephyr Twyman of Indianapolis, Ind.

Gamble Funeral Home in Hopkinsville was in charge of all the arrangements.
