Drunk driving

On Dec. 27, 2007, Cadiz Police observed a vehicle running on the side of the road with the lights on and the operator slumped over the steering wheel. According to the report, a strong odor of alcoholic beverages came from the vehicle. The driver, Christopher Ritchie, 39, could not perform a field sobriety test and was arrested. He was charged with driving under the influence in the first degree.

License suspended after third DUI

Ryan Shemwell, 34, of Main Street in Cerulean, was arrested on Dec. 27, 2007, and charged with driving under the influence. He was stopped at a safety checkpoint on KY 124. His license was suspended because this was his third DUI offense.

Marijuana possession

Jason Uzzle, 24, of King’s Chapel Road, was arrested on Dec. 27, 2007, and charged with possession of marijuana. He was stopped by police for an expired registration plate and gave consent to search his vehicle. Marijuana was found in the glove compartment.

Bench warrant

On Dec. 21, the Trigg County Sheriff’s Department executed four Trigg County bench warrants and arrested Chanz Outing, 26, of 166 Wallace Ave. He was indicted on four charges of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, receiving stolen property over $300, possession of drug paraphernalia, first offense, trafficking in marijuana (eight ounces to five pounds), first offense, and being a persistent felony offender in the second degree.

Twin arrested with brother

On Dec. 21, the Trigg County Sheriff’s Department executed four Trigg County bench warrants and arrested Lanz Outing, 26, of 166 Wallace Ave. He was indicted on charges of receiving stolen property over $300, possession of drug paraphernalia, first offense, and trafficking in marijuana (eight ounces to five pounds), first offense.

Drug possession

On Dec. 24, Christopher M. Williams, 20, 620 Herndon Circle, was found stopped in the middle of Highway 68/80 with his motor running and his foot on the brake. He was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, trafficking in marijuana (less than eight ounces), first offense; possession of marijuana; possession of a prescription drug not in its original container, first offense, and possession of a drug legend.
