Intoxication and warrants
Deputy Sheriff Kenneth Butts arrested Cody D. Pepper, 23, of 700 Humphries Road, Cadiz on July 18 during a traffic stop.
Butts said that while investigating, Pepper was allegedly under the influence of alcohol. Pepper faced warrants for non-payment of fines for alcohol intoxication from a previous arrest and a probation violation for a conviction related to speeding, DUI- Third Offense and Driving under a Suspended License.
Stephanie A. Sharp, 19, of 166 Rich Circle, Cadiz faces charges of Fourth Degree Assault (Domestic Violence with Minor Injury) after a July 19 arrest by Dep. Jimmy Godair.
The deputy’s report alleges that he received a complaint at the suspect’s residence. The suspect’s boyfriend claimed that they entered into a verbal dispute when she grabbed and scratched his neck. The suspect’s boyfriend left the residence, and returned to find the house “trashed.” She allegedly resumed the verbal confrontation, and the boyfriend called 911. Godair said that he observed the scratches on the alleged victim’s neck.
Domestic violence and unlawful restraint
Deputy Matt Riddle responded to a complaint on July 20, which saw the arrest of Kevin J. Dzikowski, 24, of 799 Blackhawk Road, Cadiz.
Riddle alleged that Dzikowski was “manifestly under the influence of alcoholic beverages” upon arrival at the scene for investigation. The reported that his investigation allegedly revealed that the suspect stuck his stepfather several times in the back causing visible injury. The stepfather claimed that Dzikowski restrained his family in the living room, threatening to tab him and held him against his will with a knife.
The suspect faces charges of Alcohol Intoxication, Fourth Degree Assault (Domestic Violence with Minor Injury) and First Degree Unlawful Imprisonment.
Deputy Godair arrested Gentry Gray 18, of 699 Bush Road, Cadiz after a July 20 stop for suspicion of Driving Under the Influence.
Godair said that the suspect traveled Highway 778 where the deputy allegedly observed him traveling in the opposite lane for a long distance. Godair claimed that the suspect failed to use his turn signal twice and tossed a beer can from the passenger window. Upon stopping the suspect, Godair claimed that he observed Gray with bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and the odor of alcoholic beverages on his person. Gray apparently refused a field sobriety test, though Godair reported a .120 blood-alcohol content on a Breathalyzer test. Gray was charged with DUI and the Possession of an Open Container of Alcoholic Beverages in a Motor Vehicle.
