The seventeen-year-old suspect was brought to the police station by his parents, where he was charged with first-degree criminal mischief and unlawful possession of a weapon on school property.
Superintendent Tim McGinnis confirmed that the suspect is enrolled at Trigg County High School. He would not say, however, whether the student regularly attends classes.
McGinnis did say that no disciplinary action has yet been taken by the school system.
