The vehicles of Chad Taylor, 22, and Justin Evans, 20, were hit with pieces of rip-rap on the evening of Nov. 7. Taylor’s truck had its hood and windshield damaged, at an estimated cost of less than $500, and Evans’ vehicle suffered a damaged back-fender and roof, at an estimated cost of between $500 and $1,000.
The vehicles had been parked outside Evans’ residence on 221 Lafayette St. The two called police just after 9 p.m. to report the damage.
During the ensuring investigation, Taylor allegedly admitted to investigating officer Scott Brown that there was a gun beneath his seat. A search of the vehicle did yield a loaded .357, resulting in a concealed weapon charge against Taylor.
