The bride is the daughter of Aurel and Eugenia Ponea of Rimnicu Sarat, Romania
The groom is the son of John Wesley and Susan Johnson Redick of Bowling Green.
Liza Toronciue of Louisville served the Bride as her Maid of Honor. Serving as Bridesmaids were the groom’s sisters, Kirsten Redick and Brigette Redick, both of Bowling Green.
David Byrd of Louisville served the groom as his Best Man. Groomsmen were Jay Buchanan of Bagdad, Ky., and Adam Redick of Clarkston, Mich., cousins of the groom.
The bride wore a white satin and chiffon Guinevere gown with dropped waist, long off shoulder split sleeves, and chapel train, embellished with seed pearl and petal trim. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of white roses, delphinium, lilies, and bachelor’s buttons.
A reception was held at the groom’s parent’s home. Laura Redick of Clarkston, Mich., cousin of the groom, served punch to the assembled family and friends.
The bride is a recently licensed physician and will seek her residency in Louisville. The groom is completing his degree in actuarial science at the University of Louisville and is employed by Bank of America.
The couple is making their home in Louisville.
The groom is the nephew and great-nephew of Elmer and Connie Sue Picett, Ed and Linda Caldwell, Bill Alexander, and James and Opal Alexander; and has a number of cousins and other relatives in the Cadiz area.
