Perry Stokes, 22, was traveling southbound on Barefield Road in his 1993 Acura at about 10 p.m. when he dropped off of the shoulder of the roadway near Dunkerson Road because of the adverse weather conditions, said Paull’s report, which also indicated that Stokes was wearing a seat belt.
Stokes lost control of his vehicle, which slid sideways and overturned four times and finally stopped in a ditch facing north, and afterward was taken by the Trigg County Emergency Medical Service to Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville, Paull wrote.
According to a Jennie Stuart representative, Stokes was released on the morning of Friday, April 3.
The Trigg County EMS, Trigg County Sheriff’s Department, Trigg County Rescue and Cerulean Fire Department all assisted Paull at the scene.
