uneral services for Rebecca Ovey, 76, of Kuttawa, were held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 13, 2009, at Lakeland Funeral Home Chapel in Eddyville, with G.L. Ovey, Rev. Jamus Redd and Rev. Jesse Johnson officiating. Burial followed at Rolling Hills Cemetery in Eddyville.

Mrs. Ovey passed away at 12:05 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009, in Rivers Bend Retirement Community in Kuttawa.

Rebecca Ovey was a homemaker and a member of Kuttawa United Baptist Church in Kuttawa.

She was preceded in death by her husband Glycon Ovey and her parents James Edward Fleming and Sybil Armstrong Fleming.

She is survived by her son G.L. Ovey of Eddyville, her two grandchildren Carrie Ovey-Higgins and Brett Ovey of Eddyville and by her two great grandsons.
