Annette Skinner, who retired recently from Trigg County Middle School after teaching for 20 years, was seriously injured in an accident while driving to church Sunday morning.

Robert McIntosh, Skinner’s pastor at Donaldson Creek Baptist Church, spoke to The Cadiz Record about Skinner’s condition on Monday while she was having back surgery at Nashville’s Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He said that she had suffered no head trauma, but had lost two fingers on her left hand.

“With therapy, she’ll be able to use her hand like anyone else,” McIntosh said.
