Funeral services for Richard “Dick” Stephens, 71, of Cadiz, were conducted on Saturday, February 17, 2007, at 2 p.m., at Goodwin Funeral Home, with Dr. Hilda Bentley officiating.

Mr. Stephens died on Wednesday, February 14, 2007, at 3:30 a.m., at his home of natural causes.

Mr. Stephens was born on May 3, 1935, in Kingsford, Mich. He was the son of the late Vincent Kay and Amanda Christine Thornberg Stephens.

Mr. Stephens was retired from the Ford Motor Company as a Draftsman, with 30 years of service, and was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict.

In addition to her parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gayle Roberts Stephens; sister, Dorothy DeAlbuquerque; and father-in-law, Paul Roberts, Jr.

Survivors include two sons, Paul Stephens of Howell, Mich., and Peter Stephens of Kokomo, Ind.; a daughter, Pamela Brown of Commerce Township, Mich.; two brothers, Gordon Stephens of Minocqua, Wis., and Elvis Stephens of Northville, Mich.; mother-in-law, Mary Roberts of Holland, Mich.; six grandchildren, Autumn Curry, Sarah Stephens, Matthew Brown, Alex Brown, Mary Anne Stephens, and Rose Stephens; and three great-grandchildren, Andrew Curry, Alexandra Curry, and Vincent Curry.
