As usual, the Trigg County Chamber of Commerce will officially kick off the 2005 Trigg County Country Ham Festival this Monday at 6:15 a.m.

Chamber President Penny Jones said she expects to see all chamber members as well as some famous faces at the breakfast.

Kentucky Agriculture Commissioner Richie Farmer, a native of Murray, will be the keynote speaker at the breakfast, which is being held at the Lake Barkley State Resort Park Lodge dining room.

In past years, Circuit Judge Bill Cunningham and other icons have been the speaker at the breakfast. Jones said Farmer will receive a country ham from the business leaders of the community in gratitude for his appearance.
