Roger Dale Pirtle, 54, of Evansville, Ind., passed away Thursday, October 29, 2009 at his residence.

Roger was a 1974 graduate of North High School. He previously worked at Whirlpool, T.J. Max and Fred’s Bar and Grill. Roger enjoyed listening to classic country and Elvis, watching Joel Olsteen, Cops and forensic programs. He was a big Chicago Bears fan and enjoyed watching the New York Yankees with his family. Roger looked forward to weekly Friday night outings with friend Pete Dossett at Ellis Park. He especially enjoyed spending time with his beloved companions, his dogs, Sophie and Cookie.

He is survived by wife of 29 years Terri (Robinson) Pirtle of Evansville, Ind., daughter Nikki Pirtle of Evansville, Ind., son Roger Matthew Pirtle of Evansville, Ind., Sisters, Helen Ervin (Don), Linda Kennada (Perry), both of Evansville, Ind., Margaret “Punkin” Brown (Steve) of Cadiz, brothers, Terry Pirtle (Kathy), Johnny Ray Pirtle (Kathy), Steve Pirtle, all of Evansville, Ind., mother-in-law Wanda Robinson of Evansville, Ind., sister-in-law, Jennifer Tepe (Tom), brother-in-law, Mike Robinson (Julie) several nieces and nephews,

He is preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Lavada, father, Paul Blackwell Pirtle, brother, Paul Eugene, father-in-law, Glenn A Robinson.

Funeral services were planned for 11:00 am, Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009 at Browning Funeral Home 738 Diamond Ave. Entombment will be held at Memorial Park.

Friends may visit Monday, November 2, 2009 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Browning Funeral Home.
