Funeral services for Roy Hopson, 43, of Cadiz will be held at the Bloomfield Missionary Baptist Church at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2009. Rev. Edward A. Brown, Sr., Rev. Kenneth Wharton, Rev. Gregory Stallworth and Rev. Frank Russell will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, December 4, 2009 at King’s Funeral Home. Burial will follow funeral services at UBF Cemetery, Cadiz. Pallbearers will be Tony Redd, Chris Tinsley, Lennus Redd, Michael Tinsley, Kamau Tinsley and Terry Tinsley.

Hopson died at 4:35 p.m. Saturday, November 28, 2009 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville following a short illness.

He was born August 21, 1966 in Cadiz to Lee Roy Hopson, I and Youletta Tinsley Hopson. Hopson was employed by the Tri-County Special Services in Hopkinsville. Hopson was a member of the Bloomfield Missionary Baptist Church where he was a member of the Missionary Society.

Hopson was preceded in death by his father, Lee Roy Hopson, I. Survivors include his mother, Youletta Tinsley Hopson, Cadiz, twin brother, Ray Hopson, Cadiz, sister and brother-in-law, Renee and Chris Irvin, Cadiz and Lorraine Hopson, Cadiz.
