Mrs. Strelec passed away at 11 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at her residence after a battle with cancer.
She was born Wednesday, May 4, 1938 in Chicago, Ill., to Harry A. & Sarah Farley Mikkola.
Sandi was a member of Cerulean Baptist Church. She retired from Lake Barkley State Resort Park, where she worked as an accountant. She was a member of Tennessee Walking Horse Association and Western Kentucky Trail Riders.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Greg Butkovic.
Survivors include her husband, Jim Strelec of Cadiz; daughters and sons-in-law Kim and Steve Allen of Bowling Green and Darla and John Gallagher of Hopkinsville; grandchildren Kyle Allen, Brooke Allen, Jordan Holloman, Kennedy Holloman, Madisyn Gallagher and Tucker Gallagher.
Pallbearers were Tommy Via, Glenn Bradt, Jimmy DeFew, Jimmy Gray, Jackie Davis, Sonny Davis, Chad Ritter and Wack Rosson
Honoray pallbearers were Bill and Joyce Marshall, Charles Simpson, Dale and Faye Henderson, Jimmy and Louise Sanderson, Jackie and Tina Davis, Gaylon and Lynn King, Sonny and Valora Davis, Jean Kimbrell, Peggy Cave, Joe and Shirley Taylor, Reda Fuller, John and Betty Blakeley, Terry Stevens, Harold Knight and David Hale.
