Cadiz Public Works Director Kerry Fowler said that in the city, most of the damage from last Tuesday’s thunderstorm was in the south part, adding that much of the damage was in the form of fallen limbs and fallen trees. A few Cadiz residents also lost power for a few hours as a result of the storm, Fowler went on to say.

“It’ll take a couple of weeks to repair the damage,” Fowler said, although he didn’t know how much the damage would cost. As of Monday, there were still repairs to be made.

There was less damage in the county, and only one road, Trigg Furnace Road, was completely blocked by a downed tree, although a few others were partially blocked, Trigg County Road Foreman Tommy Hanberry said.

Most of the damage in the county was in the form of downed limbs and the occasional downed tree, Hanberry added.
