Charlie Sivells, who has been an employee of Stone Plastics for two years, had five fingers amputated by some type of machinery on the job, Faber said, although he said he couldn’t be more specific as to what machinery Sivells was on, or how the accident happened.
Faber said the accident is still being investigated, but the company’s main priority is to make sure Sivells receives good medical care and recovers quickly.
Since then, Sivells has been sent to the Hand Care Center at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, where, according to Faber, he’s getting the best treatment in the country for his injury.
