The Lady Wildcats traveled to Lexington in early-June for the Transylvania team camp. In a limited summer session, the Transylvania team camp was one of the highlights for the Trigg County Lady Wildcats.
“We had a good time at the Transylvania team camp, we had good chemistry and enjoyed being around one other,” said Trigg County Coach Amy Breckel. “We spent three days there and
played nine games. We also had one of our players in the finals of the three-point shooting contest – sophomore Brooke Kearney who started for us as a freshman.”
The Lady Wildcats kept busy throughout most of the month of June, traveling to Murray for a team camp following the Transylvania event.
“In the later part of June, we spent three days going over to Murray and playing in their team camps,” Breckel commented. “We played six games in that camp. After the Dead Period was over, we held open gyms on Mondays and Wednesday which allowed the girls a chance to get into the gym and play. When school started we did have a handful of girls who were not involved in a fall sport playing about three days a week after school.”
Preseason practice for the Lady Wildcats resumed earlier in the week.
