Funeral services for Myrtle Ella Wilson Swanner, 100, of Cadiz, formerly of Columbia, Tenn., were conducted on Tuesday, March 14, 2006, at 11 a.m., at King’s Funeral Home.

Dr. Tom Martin officiated at the services. Burial followed in the Starkie Thomas Cemetery in Trigg County.

Mrs. Swanner died on Friday, March 10, 2006, at 8:30 a.m., at Hidden Acres Health Care in Mt. Pleasant, Tenn., of natural causes.

Mrs. Swanner was born on October 16, 1905, in Trigg County. She was the daughter of the late Clarence Winston and Ella Mae Thomas Wilson.

Mrs. Swanner was a homemaker, and a member of the Church of Christ in Columbia, Tenn.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Glenn Sellers in 1955, and second husband, Leon Thomas Swanner in 1985; three brothers, Roger Clark Wilson, Clifton Earl Wilson, and Clyde Thomas Wilson; and a sister, Mary Lavenia Wilson.

Survivors include a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Clarissa King, pianist, provided the music.

Serving as pallbearers were Harold Wilson, Ned Davis, Bill Clark Thomas, Chappell Wilson, Seldon Earl Thomas, and Milton Clyde Wilson.
