Bro. Joe Nichols, assisted by Rev. Tom Hughes, officiated at the services. Burial followed in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Martin died on Thursday, February 16, 2006, at 12:32 p.m., at Hilltop Nursing Home following a long illness.
Mrs. Martin was born on April 4, 1930, in Caldwell County. She was the daughter of the late Major T. and Nattie B. Daniel Ladd.
Mrs. Martin was a homemaker, and was a member of the First Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Lillie Mae Ladd, Ruby Salyers, and Rosa Nell Wood; and a brother, Urey Thomas Ladd.
Survivors include her husband, Paul G. Martin of Princeton; three sons, Billy Martin, Barry Martin, and Bobby Martin, all of Caldwell County; two brothers, Johnny R. Ladd of Dawson Springs, and Stanley W. Ladd of Cadiz; and five sisters, Nora Belle Boyd of Symsonia, Dorothy Tanner of Railto, Calif., Elizabeth Kilgore and Shirley Sisk, both of Princeton, and Betty Hernandez of Van Buren, Ark.
