Forest Service and “Friends of LBL” staff would like to take this opportunity to thank all the educators in our area for the time and energy they share with their students. “Current trends show children are growing up alienated from nature. There are many educational benefits to reconnecting children to the outdoors,” stated Sharon Waltrip, Environmental Education Specialist at LBL. “We invite teachers to come out and discover how we can help them reconnect students with nature at LBL’s environmental education programs.”
