Gill died at his residence in Cadiz of a long illness at 8:15 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 30, 2009.
Gill was born on Jan. 22, 1954, in Elyria, Ohio, to the late James Arthur Gill and Gilda R. Gill of Cadiz.
A member of the Cadiz United Methodist Church, Gill was a respiratory therapist and a construction worker, and was a U.S. Army veteran who served in the 82nd Airborne.
Survivors include his mother, his son Jeremy Gill of Avon, Ohio, his two daughters Megan Gill of LoraInd., Ohio and Dawne Brookes of Columbus, Ohio, his two brothers Richard Gill of Kuttawa and James Gill of York, Pa., and five grandchildren.
