Bobby Taylor of the Auto Doctor, at 281 Main Street, in Cadiz, is expanding his business into what has been a lifelong passion, motorcycles. This April 8, he will be hosting a grand opening for his full service bike shop.

Taylor, who first rode mini-bikes at age 5, has operated Auto Doctor for 2 and a half years now, is excited about his new venture. “We sell after-market Harley-Davidson parts and accessories, both stock and custom, new and used.”

With a showroom stocked with biking gear, including helmets, decals, riding leathers-vests, jackets and chaps, as well as t-shirts, with the Auto Doctor logo, Taylor feels he has something for everyone. Even for non-riders, who just like the Harley image, Taylor says he stocks knives, lighters wall-signs, and gifts.

Taylor points out that his shop is no mere souvenir store. “We do maintenance on cars and bikes alike, and can customize a motorcycle for anyone. We sell on consignment, too. One of the bikes out front is for sale for $10 thousand.”

With a back room full of custom frames, gas tanks, wheels, tires, and saddlebags, and catalogues full of stock that can be ordered, Taylor states confidently, “If we don’t have it, we can order it. If we can’t order it, you don’t need it.”

“If someone buys a part, and can’t put it on themselves, we can do it for them or show them how. I can get metric parts for foreign bikes, and will beat any price around, even if I sell it at my cost,” he said, explaining his philosophy on meeting the needs of the individual customer, and make the experience and quite possibly, the bike as unique as possible.

Other services to be provided include a certified Harley-Davidson mechanic on call, motorcycle detailing, as well as the automotive maintenance and repair he has performed since opening. He also can provide parts and repairs for ATV’s.

The April 8 grand opening will feature hot-dogs and sodas for guests, and a chance to see Taylor’s new inventory and business venture.
