The meeting was held in conjunction with the opening of a new exhibit at the museum, featuring highlights from board members’ personal collections. Many media are represented, including oil, watercolor, sculpture, glass, woodblock prints and others. The exhibit will be featured until June 15. June 16 will see the opening of a duck stamp exhibit, featuring wildlife art used in duck stamps around the nation.
Outgoing Treasurer Bob Clement announced that through donations, grants and fundraising, the museum had taken in more than $92,000. Expenditures to date had totaled nearly $54,000, not including a recent $7,300 for renovations and improvements to the building. “Financially, we are on solid ground,” he said.
