Terry Lee McNichols and Rev. Greg McNichols officiated at the services. Burial followed in East End Cemetery, in Cadiz.
Mrs. Cate died on Wednesday, September 19, 2007, at 12:55 a.m. at the Caldwell County Hospital in Princeton, of natural causes.
Mrs. Cate was born on Sunday, December 19, 1915, in Tobaccoport, TN. She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Blanche (Shoemaker) Kingins.
Mrs. Cate was homemaker and a member of the Linton United Methodist Church. She was a member of Homemakers and WSCS.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill McNichols, husband, Charles Cate, three brothers, Ray Kingins, Earl Kingins, Darrell Kingins, one sister, Ruth (Kingins) Brandon.
Survivors include son, Teddy McNichols, of Cadiz, son and daughter-in-law, S.W. and Anita McNichols, of Cadiz, son, Terry Lee McNichols, of Cadiz, daughters and son-in-laws, Faye and John Hainsworth, of Cadiz, Sherry and William L. “Moose” Morris, of Cadiz, Sylvia and Earl Mitchell, of Greenbriar, TN, eleven grandchildren, Greg McNichols, Ricky McNichols, Tammye Sutley, Billy Joe McNichols, Sammy McNichols, Cindy Taylor, Eric Sutley, Jimmy McNichols, Tatum McNichols Gilbert, Billy Morris and Colby Morris. Great grandchildren, Joelle McNichols, Shane McNichols, Jordan McNichols, Ethan Taylor, Macy Taylor, Ezra McNichols, Seth McNichols, Matthew McNichols, Hunter McNichols, Hanna McNichols, Eaton Sutley, Ty Sutley, Tenley Gilbert, and Madison McNichols.
Serving as pallbearers were Greg McNichols, Ricky McNichols, Billy Joe McNichols, Sammy McNichols, Eric Sutley, and Colby Morris.
Becky Waldrup, Vocalist and John Hainsworth, Instrumentalist provided the music.
