Thomas Crenshaw Smith, 75, of Hopkinsville, formerly of Cadiz,, died at 5:20 p.m. Sunday, June 7, 2009, at his home of multiple myeloma cancer.

A rosary will be said at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church followed by a visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. with a funeral mass to be said at 11 a.m., officiated by the Rev. Father John M. Thomas.

Hughart and Beard Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

A native of Cadiz, he was born Oct. 22, 1933, the son of the late Cleveland White and Bessie Jones Smith.

He was an Army veteran having served in the Korean conflict.

He had been the co-owner of Thrif-T Drugs, Hopkinsville, for more than 20 years and the co-owner of the Hospital Street Pharmacy, Cadiz, for more than 15 years.

He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Modisette Smith, Hopkinsville; a son, David Crenshaw Smith, Hopkinsville, two daughters, Eleanor Smith Pickett, Birmingham, Ala., and Kathryn Smith Wilkins, Hopkinsville; a brother, Cleveland W. Smith, Hendersonville, Tenn., and six grandchildren.
