The images from “Memories of a Dixon Farm” were taken in November of 2003 at a Trigg County farm where his friends, Tim and Candy Vance, used to live. When he arrived at the house, Birdsong began to take digital photos of the environment around the house. He later used the photos to combine three or four photos to get something completely new and unique. The title of the work came about because a family named Dixon used to live there, he said.
