Graveside services for Tom Ashcraft, 64, of Cadiz, were held with full military honors Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville. The Rev. Monty Flanigan officiated. Goodwin Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Ashcraft died of natural causes at 10:12 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2011 at Trigg County Hospital in Cadiz.

He was born August 16, 1946 in Durant, Okla. to Francis Leo Ashcraft and Frances Marie Spotswood Ashcraft.

Mr. Ashcraft was of the Baptist faith. He was a United States Retired Marine having served in Viet Nam. He retired from the military with 20 years of service and he also retired from the Civil Service. He was a member of the American Legion and the Elks Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his father, Francis Leo Ashcraft.

Survivors include his mother, Frances Marie Ashcraft of California; his wife, Susann Ashcraft of Cadiz; two sisters, Theresa Shirk of Colorado, and Linda Sue Feltus of Utah; two daughters, Dawn Moss of Oregon, and Angel Fletcher of California; one son, Scott Fletcher of Cadiz; and five grandchildren, Kosoma and Nicole Moss, Tyler Fletcher, Jordan Scherote and Devyn Kearney.
