Commission Chairman John Rufli said, “We’ve done interviews with 12 people and narrowed that list to three prime candidates. We made an offer to one of the individuals we’ve talked to, and this person declined the offer. Now we will revisit the process.”
The committee deferred some decisions about participating in trade shows in the future pending the hiring of a director. The committee elected not to participate in shows in Monroeville, Penn. and Cleveland, Ohio, while remaining undecided about the Kentucky Boat and Outdoor Show in Murray.
Committee Member Karla White said, “That show has a good turnout. It’s been in existence for a few years and is close to home. They get people from all over the area, presenting and attending- not just locals.”
Rufli said, “Why don’t we hold off on that until we get a director and look at it at a later date. We can get all the information on it now.”
