Trigg Girls fall to Union

CADIZ— Host Trig County dropped its second straight game Saturday, falling to Union County. The Lady Wildcats fell to Union County after being held to eight points in each of the first two quarters. Union County prevailed 59-44.

In the first quarter, Union County outscored the host Lady Wildcats 17-8. Union County carried a 31-16 lead into halftime.

The Lady Wildcats could never recover from the slow-start first half.

Brooke Kearney paced Trigg County with 14 points. Elysia Brown was another leading contributor for the Lady Wildcats, finishing with six points, six rebounds, three steals and two assists.

Janada Acree scored 11 points with pulled down five rebounds for Trigg County.

The Lady Wildcats will host Crittenden County Friday night at 7:30 p.m. in a District 5 matchup.
