Trigg errors lead to 0-3 record

Visiting Hopkins County Central took advantage of costly Trigg County errors Friday night. The Storm was too much for the host Wildcats.

Hopkins County Central blanked Trigg County 25-0, handing the Wildcats their third straight setback in as many outings.

Hopkins County Central won its first career game versus Trigg County. The Wildcats own a 3-1 career record against the Storm.

Trigg County fell to 0-3 following the loss. The Wildcats are 0-3 for the first time since 1998.

Keith Couch took advantage of a Wildcat fumble. Trigg County fumbled a kickoff return and Couch scored on a 12-yard run with 10:08 remaining in the opening half.

Trigg County missed on a 35-yard field goal attempt on its next drive and could never dent the scoring column in the early regular-season high school football game.

Hopkins County Central scored on a Jacob Powell six-yard run with 3:49 remaining in the opening half.
