Trigg man dies in ATV accident

A Trigg County man died late in the morning of Wednesday, April 8, as a result of an accident involving an all-terrain vehicle on his on 133 Dunning Cemetery Road, according to Trigg County Deputy Coroner John Mark Vinson.

Norman “Nab” Turner, 66, was using his ATV to clear debris, such as damaged shingles, around his property into a ditch when the ATV turned over into a 20-foot ravine, and as a result he was trapped under the ATV, and he was later pronounced dead at the scene, Vinson said.

Although Turner was later found by his brother at about 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Vinson estimated that the accident happened at about 10 or 11 a.m.

A funeral service for Norman Taylor was held at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz at 2 p.m.
