The Lady Wildcats (2-8) were dominated in the first game by the 16-1 Lady Tigers but rebounded well in the second of an 0-2 (4-25, 18-25) loss.
Trigg was never closer than 3-1 in the first game and fell victim to six Lady Tiger aces and three kills by junior outside hitter Makenzie Sindelar.
The Lady Wildcats responded well in the second game, scoring the first two points and coming back from an early three-point deficit to take an 11-9 lead. Caldwell never led by more than six points before the final point of the game.
Trigg was scheduled to play Tuesday at Fort Campbell (results unavailable at press time) before hosting Calloway County on Thursday and next Tuesday’s rematch against Caldwell.
