Trigg County’s boys golf team earned a win and a split in a pair of matches last week.

Thursday, Trigg won 164-172 against Livingston Central at Deer Lake Golf Course in Salem. Trent Parrent was the match medalist with a score of 38, including three birdies. Derek Rogers shot 40, Nick Choate shot 42 and Cole Gardner shot 44.

Trigg County split in last Tuesday’s golf match at Boots Randolph Golf Course. Trigg shot a team score of 158, which edged Murray by two shots, but was defeated by Calloway County, which shot a team score of 145, one shot over par for the team.

“Calloway County is probably the regional favorite at this point in the year,” Trigg coach Jim Garnett said.

Trigg was led by Parrent, who shot a 2-over-par round of 38. Gardner shot 39, Josh Lowe 40, Rogers 41 and Choate 45.

Trigg County’s girls were led by Sierra Bush, Karli Bush and Madison Chaney, who each shot 58.

Trigg will play Thursday at Oaks Country Club in Murray against the Tigers and Carlisle County, Saturday at the Muhlenberg Invitational at Central City Country Club and Tuesday against Livingston Central at Boots.
