Trigg track opens season at Marshall

DRAFFENVILLE – Trigg County High School’s track team opened its 2010 season last Tuesday at an all-comers meet at Marshall County.

The Wildcats finished sixth out of 17 teams at the event, while the Lady ‘Cats were 14th.

Trigg’s best finish of the day was in the boys 100-meter dash, which senior Jalik Alexander won with a time of 10.90 seconds.

Trigg results from the event are as follows:

Girls 100-meter dash: Shelby Grubbs, sixth, :13.42; Kelly Acree, 10th, :13.77; Kaka Martin, 29th, :14.63; Alex Scharkley, 51st, :15.32; Gabby Wimbleduff, 64th, :15.98;

Girls 400-meter run: Aubree Burcham, 37th, 1:30.70;

Girls 4x800-meter relay: Trigg, sixth, 12:15.60;

Girls long jump: Valerie Barnes, 1wth, 10 feet, four inches; Lynease Byers, 17th, 9-05;

Girls discus: Rodreyanna Jones, 1wth, 53-04; Deasia Wilson, 13th, 51-05;

Boys 100-meter dash: Alexander, first, :10.90; Hakeem Tyler, 10th, :11.43; Ryan Briggs, 28th, :11.87; Sean Beebe, 30th, :11.90; Jamaal Adams, 44th, :12.32;

Boys 400-meter run: Depaul Hendrix, 25th, 1:00.14; Garrett Brown, 32nd, 1:02.01; Primal Patel, 34th, 1:02.03;

Boys 110-meter hurdles: Garrett Brown, 11th, :22.55;

Boys 4x100-meter relay: Trigg, fourth, :47.08;

Boys 4x200-meter relay: Trigg A, third, 1:34.85; Trigg B, eighth, 1:45.10;

Boys high jump: Jakelze Martin, 12th, 5-02;

Boys long jump: Sean Beebe, third, 19-08.25; Ryan Briggs, 11th, 16-10.50;

Boys triple jump: Josh Adams, fourth, 37.05.50;

Boys shot put: Sean Beebe, fourth, 41-00; Devon Wharton, sixth, 38-01; Michael Parker, ninth, 36-08;

Boys discus: Javin Grubbs, third, 123-11; Akeem Wilson, ninth, 102-10.

Trigg’s next scheduled track meet is April 13 at Logan County.
