Rev. Sam Beeney will be officiating the service, and the burial will be at East End Cemetery in Cadiz. Visitation was held at Goodwin Funeral Home at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3.
Stewart was born on June 14, 1920, in Cadiz to William Bryant Stewart and Ethel Mitchell Stewart. A WWII U.S. Army veteran of the Baptist faith, Stewart was a member of Cadiz Mason Lodge No. 121 and was retired from the maintenance department of the Trigg County School system, where he was also a bus driver.
Stewart was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mildred Gladys Stewart, his brother Charles “Pete” Stewart and his sister Eunice Futrell.
Stewart is survived by his brother William “Jinks Stewart of Cadiz, his sister Charlotte Adams of Hanson, his son Dan Stewart of Princeton, his grandson Jamie Stewart and Stewart’s wife Ashley of Cadiz and his great grandchildren, Haley Stewart and Austin Taylor Thomas Stewart.
