A Cadiz resident and a Cunningham, Tenn., resident were sent to the hospital Thursday morning after an accident involving a sport utility vehicle, a sedan and an RV occurred on U.S. 68/Ky. 80 about five miles west of Cadiz, according to a report by Chris Anderson of the Kentucky Highway Police.

Amberly Jackson, 39, of Cadiz, was driving westbound in a 2002 Honda CRV on Highway 68 with her passenger, Emma Tilley, 10, also of Cadiz, when she turned into the path of a 2006 Ford Taurus driven by Monette Bowron, 45, of Cadiz, Anderson wrote.

At that point, Bowron’s vehicle ran off of the roadway and hit a parked 2007 Ford RV that was operated by Robert Noel, 68, of Cunningham, Tenn., said Anderson, who added that as a result of the accident, the road was partially blocked for roughly 30 minutes, as emergency workers had to remove Bowron from the vehicle.

Both Bowron and Tilley were injured and were sent to Trigg County Hospital, Anderson said. The report indicated that Jackson, Tilley and Noel were wearing seat belts.

Assisting the KSP at the scene were the Trigg County Sheriff’s Department, Trigg County Emergency Medical Services and Trigg County Rescue.
