The Cadiz/Trigg County Planning and Zoning Commission met for a short session last Tuesday. After last month’s lightly attended meeting, the board met with a quorum to conduct business.

“Last month we did not have a quorum,” said Chairman Bob Brame. “I hope and pray we don’t do that often.”

Brame introduced brothers Kenny and Jon Goodwin of Goodwin Investments. He said that the brothers sought approval on two developments and recused himself from discussion, citing a close relationship with the Goodwins.

Vice Chairman and Commissioner Lucas Chesnut moved to the head of the table to lead the discussion. He said that the Goodwins’ first proposal related to the subdivision of six new pieces of property. He added that with roads already in place, and review and approval from City Public Works Director Kerry Fowler on sewers, the project was “all in place.”
