Funeral services for Tyner Noel, 85, of Kirksey, were conducted on Sunday, December 31, 2006, at 2 p.m., at Imes-Miller Funeral Home in Murray.

Rev. Mark Dillon officiated at the services. Burial followed in the Kirksey Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Noel died on Friday, December 29, 2006, at 9:40 a.m., at his home.

Mr. Noel was born on August 13, 1921. He was the son of the late Redginald Gordon and Jennie Calhoun Noel.

Mr. Noel was of the Baptist Faith; was retired from the City of Murray as a Heavy Equipment Operator; and served in World War II in the Army Corps of Engineers.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister.

Survivors include his wife, Floette Vickers Noel of Kirksey; a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Joyce Noel of Kirksey; a daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Keith Skinner of Kirksey; a brother, Pete Noel of Monticello, Iowa; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

W.A. and Gracie Erwin provided the music.

Serving as pallbearers were Keith Skinner, John Hudson, Michael Hudson, Bob Herndon, Chuck Jones, and Thomas Noel.

Honorary pallbearers were Tina Jones, George Bond, and Rodney Vickers.
