U.S. Hwy 68 saw two accidents, one of which was fatal, over the weekend.

Two eastbound lands of 68 by I-24 were closed for two hours Saturday, Oct. 1, after a two-car accident injured four people, killing another.

Tonna Keys, 29, of Cadiz, was approaching the intersection with Broadbent Boulevard at 8:45 a.m. in her 2001 Chevrolet Tracker. According to police, she was probably slowing down for a red light.

Michael Rowe, 17, also of Cadiz, approached Keys’ Tracker from the rear in his 1987 Chevy Astro van. Rowe told police he blacked out, causing him to knock Keys vehicle off the road, which then overturned.
