David S. Resenbeck, 37, was traveling eastbound when he fell asleep and his vehicle went into the median, and he traveled parallel to the road until he hit an embankment at the intersection of Hopkinsville Road and Tobacco Road, according to a Trigg County Sheriff’s Department report.
The vehicle vaulted and flipped end on end until it came to rest on its tires, the report stated. A witness stated he was at the intersection and had to get out of Resenbeck’s way, and that gravel hit the side of his vehicle, said the report.
Another witness that was behind Resenbeck said Resenbeck’s vehicle had been weaving from side to side, although the officer found no evidence of alcohol use, the reported indicated.
